Corona update – school events for positive cases
The health authorities have clarified the following procedure for the participation of students with contact to positive cases at school events:
- K1 contact persons (with traffic restrictions) can take part in one-day school events and extracurricular projects if the mask (FFP2 from the age of 14) is worn at all times. Conversely, this means that participation is only not possible if the mask is removed for more than 15 minutes in closed rooms as part of the school event (e.g. for eating, in the restaurant/catering area, during sports, even when swimming). However, a picnic outdoors with sufficient distance is possible. Please note: K1 contact persons (with traffic restrictions) cannot take part in school events lasting several days.
- In the event of a positive case in the classroom, the mask requirement also applies to “non-K1 contact persons”, but only for them in the school building. During outdoor activities and in sufficiently ventilated rooms (e.g. gyms and swimming pools, museums), the mask can be removed temporarily. Participation in school swimming is therefore possible for pupils even if a positive case has occurred in the last 5 days. K1 contact persons are still not allowed to participate in school swimming due to the traffic restrictions.
