Extension of the security phase until 28.2.2022

In accordance with the BMBWF decree of 10.1.2022, the following measures apply to school operations from 10.1. – 28.2.2022. Lessons will take place in accordance with the regulations of risk level 3 and the security phase. School events and school-related events are still prohibited. Dislocated lessons in exercise and sport (for example: outdoor ice skating) are possible. Testing will take place as before for vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

Changes to contact person management and isolation

There is no longer a division of contact persons into categories I and II. We now only speak of contact persons. There are NO contact persons:

• in “boostered” persons (vaccinated 3 times) and 5- to 11-year-old children who have been vaccinated twice.
• if protective measures have been applied on both sides – this also applies to school classes in which masks are worn throughout.

The period for isolation is shortened to 10 days. Contact persons and those who have tested positive can “clear” themselves with a PCR test from day 5. The same procedure is used for all different virus variants (e.g. Delta, Omikron).
