HR Mag. Albert Schmalz
AHS Director (retired)
has passed away.
Mr. Albert Schmalz was principal of BernoulliGymnasium from 2004 to 2017.
He shaped our school not only in terms of didactics and methodology, but above all in human terms: he was a sensitive person and a “gentleman principal” who listened to the concerns of all members of the school community with a big heart and mind. His sense of responsibility and his open approach to people are and remain exemplary for us. His incisive analyses, his helpfulness and his wit not only leave a painful gap, his early death also reminds us to always remember what is important in life. An open-minded and optimistic person leaves us sad and stunned.
We will remember him with his mischievous smile, which was an expression of his subtle sense of humor. Our condolences go especially to his wife and family.

The funeral will take place on April 26, 2022 at 3 p.m. at the Döbling cemetery.
