In a good mood, we took the plane from Vienna to Bilbao on Friday afternoon, where a transfer took us to San Sebastián. The students’ nervousness before arriving with their host families was palpable…! The weekend began with sunny weather on the Atlantic: a first tour of the city in the morning ended with a visit to a tapas bar, where the lively Spanish life with its culinary delights was discovered for the first time. The next few days included a visit to the aquarium, a boat trip, a fishing village, Bilbao including the Guggenheim Museum, the city museum and, of course, plenty of lessons at the language school. There was also a Zumba class to liven things up. The newly acquired Spanish skills were clearly put to use straight away. The sea air and the beautiful surroundings naturally contributed to the learning success…-:) Mag.a Bauer Anne
