Letter to parents (8.6.2021): School closure dates – Start of school – Vacation regulations 2021/22 – Moving up with not enough – Internet policy

Dear parents!

A school year marked by the COVID-19 pandemic is coming to an end. The summer vacation starts in four weeks. Hopefully your child has been able to cope well with this challenging time, both mentally and academically. Regardless of their success at school, your child has acquired interdisciplinary skills such as self-organization, perseverance and frustration tolerance during this school year. However, if your child still has crucial exams ahead of them to ensure a positive end to the year, please support your child as much as you can. Show your child your unconditional love even when they fail and give them self-confidence and self-assurance. Despite their importance, school grades are not the measure of all things. Your child has the right to develop their abilities at their own pace and also has the right to be below average or to “fail”. Everyone belongs to an “elite”, albeit each in a different area. Everyone can do something special, in social skills, in school, business, politics, art, sport, nursing or wherever. Failure or a bad grade will not rob your child of their talent, they will “conquer” the world in their own way. And doctors, lawyers and managers are not the only happy people in the world.

Yours sincerely

Franz Anreiter
Director
