LETTER TO PARENTS UPPER SCHOOL (18.5.2020)

Dear parents!

Hopefully you and your loved ones have come through the corona crisis safely so far. On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, the upper school classes will start again under the following conditions:

  • Shift operation and group division: Each class is divided into two groups, Group A and Group B. These groups alternate between lessons and time off. You will find the division for your child in the appendix.
  • Afternoon lessons (from the 7th hour) are canceled. These will be held as distance learning.
  • Regular timetable, no lessons in movement and sport.
  • Changes to the timetable are communicated via WebUntis.
  • Excused absences
“The application of the provisions on unexcused absences will also be extended for this school year. Pupils who are unable to attend lessons at school due to the corona crisis or if parents or guardians do not want to send their children to school due to concerns do not have to do so. They are considered excused, but are obliged to catch up on the missed material or make up for it.” (BM Faßmann, 24.4.2020)

Legal guardians who do not want to send their children to school due to concerns do not have to do so. They are considered excused, but are obliged to submit a justification to the school and to catch up on the missed lessons or make up for them. The “Absence request” form (see appendix) must be completed for this purpose.

  • No schoolwork
  • If your child is ill or shows signs of illness (cold, cough, slight cold, …), he/she must stay at home.
  • Your child must wear a face mask when arriving at school.
  • The school opens at 7:30 a.m. to avoid large gatherings of people.
  • The buffet is closed until further notice.

With this letter you will receive the group allocation for your child. You will then know the school days until the end of the school year. In addition, if your child will be absent from class, please inform the head of the class by Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the latest using the enclosed form.

Please visit our school website regularly and look out for information and announcements from BernoulliGymnasium on the homepage
