With our mission statement, we as BernoulliGymnasium set out both our self-image and our goals. The starting point and goal of our learning and actions is the peaceful and conscious treatment of ourselves and our fellow human beings. Together, we take responsibility for an open, tolerant and compassionate school and society.

We are the BernoulliGymnasium

We regard appreciative communication, respect, good behavior, politeness and cohesion as the basis of our successful school life and work.

In cooperation with parents/guardians, we accompany young people on their path to independence and give and receive constructive feedback.

We educate young people to become open-minded, competent and capable individuals with the skills and will to shape the future, who are committed to sustainable and social solutions, both locally and globally.

We guide young people towards independent judgment and social understanding that is open to the ideological thinking of others, thus enabling them to actively participate in the economic and cultural life of Austria, Europe and the world.

We use a variety of learning environments and methods to focus on the needs, interests and goals of the learners and develop tasks that enable young people to grow.

We specifically promote the motivation and performance of our students to enable them to acquire the skills that are the cornerstones of success in a constantly changing society.

We reject any form of exclusion, discrimination, bullying, racism or hatred – we value and embrace diversity.

We see conflicts as challenges and view them as opportunities for social learning.

We maintain a healthy balance of support and challenge in order to enable pupils to develop their cognitive, intellectual, emotional, social, artistic, creative and sporting potential and thus to achieve holistic personal development.

We give young people orientation and stability and create a school community in which all members of the school community feel that they are in good hands and understood.

We define general education as a term that describes the crucial knowledge and skills required to be able to participate actively and critically in shaping as many areas of modern society as possible.
