As there are indications in some newspapers that at least modified music lessons are to take place, we felt it was important to respond to this.
Almost punctually at 5 to 12 (!!), pupils from Bernoulli Grammar School, the initiators of the petition, Ursula Baumgartl and OStRin Mag.a Maria Kubena (representing Lisa Pupitz and Stefanie Bräuml, BA MA) and Harald Huber from the ÖMR not only handed over a gift basket including flowers to the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, but also the list of almost 10,000 signatures from all over Austria. Duda Madlaine, 7A (school representative), Zsilavi Anja, 7A (second deputy) and Tamara Hruby from 1E were also present from the school. We brought the importance of our concerns to the attention of Federal Minister Dr. Heinz Faßmann, Deputy Head of Cabinet Dr. AlinaSchmidt and Secretary General Martin Netzer and hope for good news regarding music lessons in the near future.
