Press conference by Federal Minister Faßmann on 9.1.2021

• The final date for the start of face-to-face teaching will be announced in the next few days. Planning: Monday, 18.1.2021.
• The obligation to wear masks in class will continue to apply.
• From the time school opens until the semester break, there are voluntary, gentle self-tests (“as easy as picking your nose”) for pupils. The result is known within 15 minutes.
• Pupils test under supervision at school.
• Children under the age of 14 must present a declaration of consent from their parents. So take it with you on the first day of school!
• Self-tests are voluntary and free of charge.
• Voluntary vaccination of teachers begins at the end of February/beginning of March.
• Both testing and vaccination are voluntary.
