On December 11, 2017, the School Community Committee (SGA) unanimously approved the following reorganization of the merhtag school events, valid from the 2018/19 school year:

1st classes 3 familiarization and team-building days1
2nd classes Ski course
3rd classes 3 familiarization and team-building days1
4th classes Summer sports week
5th grade 3 familiarization and team-building days1
6th classes Summer sports week
7th grade Language week first living foreign language (English)
8th grades Language week second foreign language (French2, Latin2, Italian, Spanish)

3 final days3 (including 2 weekend days)

¹ Can also take place individually as one-day school events or project days at the school
² Long and short language pupils travel together
³ optional If the number of participants in a “second foreign language language trip” is too low, it is possible to organize the language trip together with the pupils in Year 7 of the language group in question. These pupils then no longer take part in a language trip in Year 8, but write their VwA in substitute lessons. Additional school events lasting several days will only be approved under the following conditions,

  • if the school budget allows it,
  • if there is a special curriculum reference,
  • if no subsidization by the parents’ association is necessary,
  • if there is no accumulation in individual classes

Financial support for participation in school events

Financial support for participation in school events is possible for school events lasting at least five days. Applications (with school stamp, details of the school event and proof of income) must be submitted to the responsible authority by April 30 of the respective school year.

Form SUA: If the application for financial support for participation in school events is submitted at the same time as an application for school and home allowance, form SUA must be used and enclosed with the application for school and home allowance.
