School solution leads to uncertainty – clarification from the director
The lockdown starting on Monday, November 22, 2021, will also affect schools: In principle, schools will remain open, but there is also permission to stay away. Many questions remain unanswered – and this is causing uncertainty. Thanks to close-meshed PCR testing beyond the prescribed level,
thanks to a high vaccination rate and
thanks to mandatory FFP2 masks (upper school) and mandatory face masks (lower school)
, BernoulliGymnasium is a controlled place with stable, low case numbers. We therefore welcome participation in face-to-face teaching. School operations, lessons and day care will continue at BernoulliGymnasium.
Quotes from the decree of 19.11.2021
- “Classroom teaching in the individual classes according to the timetable will basically remain in place.”
- “Students who do not wish to take part in face-to-face lessons have permission to be absent from lessons. A medical certificate is not required.” Notification to the head of the class is sufficient.
- “Absence can be on a daily basis, absence by the hour is not possible. Any pupil who wishes to come to school may attend lessons in compliance with the hygiene and testing regulations.”
If your child is absent from school, please inform the class teacher immediately about the duration or the days concerned.
There is no obligation for teachers to provide hybrid lessons or streaming. Hybrid teaching is not feasible, as it is hardly possible to reach students acoustically at home during face-to-face teaching with FFP2 masks. “Work packages” for at home means that information is provided about the planned or taught content, chapters, examples (e.g. via WebUntis) and, if necessary, additional work material from the face-to-face lessons is made available digitally. Schoolwork and tests
Teachers will inform students in good time if a test is canceled or postponed. Non-binding exercises, compulsory electives, upper school courses in physical education and sports
If the safety distance cannot be maintained due to a high mix of classes, the teachers decide autonomously on a “dilution”, i.e. a fortnightly holding of lessons, and inform the students and parents about this.
We remain confident
and ask for your continued support and cooperation in these challenging times.
Stay healthy!
