As part of the project on cultural heritage and inclusion in Europe – original title: Orientados al patrimonio cultural y la inclusión desde una mirada europea – the project partners met for the first time at the end of October: Seven pupils and two teachers from each of the participating schools in Bulgaria, Italy, Spain and Austria spent a week in Reggio di Calabria in southern Italy. With temperatures still in summer, the regional cultural assets – churches, castles, museums as well as dance and music – were presented and explored; the pupils presented (in Spanish) the special features of their home region, their school and the respective school system. After a very varied stay with many new impressions, it was difficult for the participants to say goodbye to their Italian host families. We are already looking forward to seeing them again at the end of March in Poio, on the west coast of Spain. Finally, at the beginning of the coming school year, we will have the honor of welcoming all project partners to Bernoullig Gymnasium in Vienna!
